Viviendo la experiencia #PUEBLOINGLES // Living the #PUEBLOINGLES experience

(tanto nativos como "spanish people" ;-)

ENGLISH VERSION

Before starting this article I would like to indicate that #PuebloInglés is a linguistic immersion that, broadly speaking, has the following characteristics: During 8 days 20 and 20 Spanish native speakers live in a rural hotel, this practice allows more than 100 hours of English conversation developing all kinds of activities.

It is not always easy to start describing what you feel when you live an intense experience, more than anything, because words are too short. To summarize, if on the way to "Pueblo Inglés" someone had told me that on the return trip would have felt this would have never believed.

I always like to repeat the phrase "two people know each other more in a day playing than in a year working" so imagine hundred consecutive hours, playing, dancing, laughing, singing, acting, chatting about all sorts of topics (in English, course). The explosion of emotions is atomic.

If I had to define my emotional state briefly, would be "IN DEBT". I feel that I have received from each of my mates a lot of more than I've given them. I could mention one by one how they have helped me, but if I do this, you are not going to finish reading this article until the day after tomorrow, and I'm sure you have, no important ;-) , but more urgent things to do, so I'll give you a few examples:

  • Thanks for the patience and the smile that you have had when my English was not the most correct and for each one of the corrections that have made me ... (both native and "spanish people" ;-)
  • Thanks for sharing part of your life, anecdotes and experiences.
  • Thanks for giving me the "Good morning" in the morning with the best of your smiles (even the night before we had been late "practice-dancing" English ;-)
  • Thanks for caring for me in those times when I have seen a bit downcast, thoughtful
  • Thanks, thanks, thanks ...

As I write these lines, on the bus back, tears come to me, of course, in English;-) and this experience confirms me in the idea that totally DIVERSE people, with different lives and from all countries are able to generate a constructive, positive and collaborative environment,
without taking into account  the material interests.

From this moment, each of the people who have been with me these days, is part of my inspiration to continue to build a better world. Each and every one of them has shown me their DIVERSITY, far away to make a difference and postures, allows us to COMPLEMENT and GET CLOSER:

  • Those with more experience in making public presentations, conferences or similar that have helped others for whom it was their first time ..
  • Those who have given a lifetime of experiences to others that still have a life to walk.
  • Those early-morning with more energy have encouraged more "lazy" at mornings
  • Those with more "night power" that have encouraged others to prolong the day to the beat of music from all decades.
  • ...
And a lot of you after reading this article, might say, okay? Okay? But, do you learn English? And my answer is "OF COURSE" but not in a conventional way, but in an emotional way, connecting, socializing, discovering that for 8 days you are able to understand and COMMUNICATE with 40 people, and not only sharing knowledge of your mind but also the feelings of your heart.

Now the experience is over, but life goes on, and as stated in a phrase I learned from one of the mates of "Pueblo Inglés" (thanks Heather;-) "Life is lived in chapters", now it´s time to write new chapters, chapters that, without "Pueblo Inglés",  had never been written.

Oskar:
I thought to write something about my experience in Pueblo Inglés, but I think it would be a redundancy that you so aptly and style describe it . My feelings are similar. For me it has been an intense and unforgettable experience, at the same time exhausting ( I have soreness in neurons until now).
Thanks for all.
Hugs,
Gustavo
